CE: Family Autism Night

DATE: Monday, April 29, 2019
TIME: 5:00pm-7:30pm
LOCATION: Larry's Pizza and Sports Parlor in Fullerton

Pretend City Children's Museum

Join us for a special event that provides a sensitive environment for children on the autism spectrum, as well as children with disabilities, and their families. With the help of our Community Play Partners, and Pretend City's experienced and educated team, discover different activities while exploring the museum and learning to interact with peers.

Purpose Behind the Play: Writing/Physical Development

  • Art Studio Sessions: Join us in the Art Studio as we explore the fine motor activities for encouraging creative thinking and problem-solving. They help to develop a child's fine motor skills, hand dexterity, and coordination through play. For example, transferring puff balls to a jar helps develop pincer grip and hand dexterity!
  • Musical Circle Time: Makes some music and sing along with us during a sensory-engaging circle time all about music and rhythm! Did you know that music can greatly contribute to a child's cognitive and sensory development? We hope to see you there!

Specifically for: Families with children of all ages who are on the autism spectrum or have a disability, as well as therapists and behavioral coaches.

This special evening is an opportunity for chuldren and their parents/siblings/caretakers to have some fun in an autism-friendly environment along with other families. Many of our community partners, who specialize in supporting children on the autism spectrum, will be on-hand to enrich your family's play experience with welcoming smiles and practical support.
